The photograph shows a medieval two-storey building, with several high chimneys. The building, which appears pink/beige in colour, has large windows which contain small panels of glass. There are trees around the building, and some vegetation partly covering the porched front. The image is set against a clear blue sky

The Charfield area, which covers Cromhall, Tortworth and Charfield, is mainly rural and adjoins the Gloucestershire border. The Ladden Brook area is situated to the north and west of the historic market town of Chipping Sodbury. The name derives from the Ladden, a small brook which traverses the area.

Predominately rural, it encompasses the villages of Wickwar, Rangeworthy and Bagstone. It is bisected by several major routes affording access between the M5 motorway and the urban area of Yate and northern Bristol.
