This beat comprises Worle High Street shops and the residential area of Milton.

There are six schools on the beat and a large recreation ground - Baytree - that caters for local sports. There is a dog ban in place on the recreation ground and any offenders are dealt with by the Park Rangers.

Problems centre around youth nuisance and shop theft.

1. Baytree area
Action:
Patrol Baytree area at weekends to monitor parking of vehicles using the football pitches and facilities, and emergency vehicle access being left clear.

2. Madam Lane area
Action:
Cycle patrol alleyways around the Madam Lane area.

3. Baytree recreation ground area (meeting held 20/04/10)
There will be a PACT meeting for this area every six months - next date to be in October 2010.
Action:
* Bike patrols through alleyways near to recreation ground.
* Local residents to allocate a chairperson for future meetings.
* Increase parking patrols around the Recreation Ground, especially as the new football season starts with increased parking.

Outcomes

Baytree area
* Bike patrols have been carried out in the Baytree area, with on the spot advice to anyone committing anti-social behaviour close to the homes nearby.
* Enforcement on parking issues at Baytree have taken place with numerous fixed penalties being issued.

Baytree Recreation Ground
Please can people using the Baytree Recreation Grounds be aware of where they park, and the residents who live close by. It appears a few users are causing minor anti-social behaviour (ASB) and parking in residential areas and causing issues to the residents getting on and off their own properties. Anyone parking illegally or causing ASB will be dealt with positively. Please enjoy the facility but remember your responsibilities.

Police are warning residents to be aware of a scam which promises the recipient a council tax refund :-

Visit us at the Campus Police Office
The Campus Police Office will be staffed every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 11am, and open to all members of the public who wish to discuss their concerns, report an incident or generally make comment about the priorities they wish police to concentrate on. The Campus is in Highlands Lane (behind Morrisons) and is open 8am to 10pm weekdays, 8am to 5pm weekends.

Fire engine

Avon Fire & Rescue Service

Beat surgeries (Worle High Street)

  • A beat surgery is held every alternate Thursday morning between 10am and 12noon at The Library, High Street, Worle.
  • Surgeries are also held on Saturdays outside the Co-op store, High Street, from 10am until 12.30pm, every four weeks. Next date: 14 August 2010.

Community surgery (Worle and Milton beats)
A community surgery with local councillors will be held on the first Saturday in the month between 10am and midday at The Campus, Highlands Lane, Weston-super-Mare.
