Bristol district > Brislington neighbourhood area > Stockwood beat

The Stockwood beat covers the Stockwood electoral ward. It spans from the Stockwood open spaces in the east to the A37 Wells Road in the west. Its southern edge is the city limits and its northern boundary is Callington Road. The area of Whitchurch Village east of the A37 Wells Road also forms part of the beat.

Stockwood in many respects is a self-contained village situated on the southern outskirts of Bristol. It has more than 13,000 residents, a shopping precinct, a library and a golf course. Its residential area comprises approximately equal numbers of private and local authority housing, and there are a number of elderly persons' dwellings.

The Hengrove and Stockwood Neighbourhood Team is based at Brislington Police Station. It comprises the Hengrove and Stockwood beats.

Addition of a new Neighbourhood Watch (Stockwood beat)
Residents of Holsom Road, Holsom Close, Warman Close, Warman Road and part of Lacey Road braved the freezing cold and snow blizzards on 12 January to meet up with their local Beat Manager and Neighbourhood Watch Administrator. At a meeting at the Stockwood Free Church they formally set up a NHW for their area which will be a most welcome addition for the growing numbers of residents wishing to get involved in their community in Stockwood.
