Clevedon Town (incorporating the wards of Walton, North Walton, West Walton, Clevedon Central, Clevedon East, Clevedon South and Clevedon Yeo) has a population of 23,000 and is mostly residential with one large senior school and seven junior/infant schools.

The town centre has a large variety of shops and local services. The sea front is a popular tourist destination. There are two large trading estates and several smaller ones.
