Partners and Communities Together (PACT) gives you the opportunity to influence what happens in your neighbourhood. It is a mechanism whereby neighbourhood issues, identified through local meetings, are taken to a partnership panel, where courses of action are agreed. Find out more.

If you are unable to attend a meeting but would like to make your views known, please Register your local priorities.

Current public priorities

Agreed 14th July 2010

1. Youths causing anti-social behaviour in the minor road between The Hollow and the new build houses and flats on Haycombe Drive.

2. Suggestion of a live-in warden at Blagdon Park.

3. Crime and anti-social behaviour occuring in the alleyways in Blagdon Park.

Outcomes

Update on 14 April priorities:

Youths gathering outside the Beehive Surgery
Regular police patrols have been carried out. (Only one call has been made in the last three months regarding anti-social behaviour (ASB) in this area.). As a result of patrolling we have identified Roundhill Park as an area of ASB, this has spilled also into Wedmore Park, as such we have:
• Regularly patrolled the area.
• Spoken to individual members of the community, thus improving trust and confidence.• Submitted ASB forms.
• Documented ASB referrals to the council ASB team, where in conjunction we have sought to commit offenders to sign Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (ABCs).
• We have also referred the area to the Children’s Society where they are seeking to improve community relations with youths in the area. This is being done by outreach work.

Damage being caused to vehicles when delivery vans are travelling down the slip road near Mount Road (close to the surgery)
* The Co-op has stated that they will monitor delivery vans in the road, ensuring that they drive in a respectful manner.
* This will be examined in detail at the next scheduled "walkabout" in the area with the Council's Area Traffic Engineer.

Road surface at Roundhill Park
Update from Council: Examination of this surface also to take place as part of next scheduled "walkabout".
