South Gloucestershire district > Staple Hill neighbourhood area > Boyd Valley and Bitton beat

The Boyd Valley part of the beat covers the large rural area to the Wiltshire border and includes the main villages of Pucklechurch, Marshfield, Abson, Doynton and Wick.

The Bitton area of the beat covers the main village of Bitton as well as Upton Cheyney, Swineford and the majority of Willsbridge. Bitton Railway Station, within the beat area, is home to the Avon Valley Steam Railway.

Action Plan: Liaise with South Glos Council, NHW Co-Ordinator, Horse Society and Crime Reduction.

2. Speeding at Pennsylvania

Action Plan: Discussion with Highways Agency.

3. Nuisance motorcycles in Wick, Marshfield and Bitton
Lead Officer: PC Simon Topps and Jackie Ward, South Glos Council, Email: sscg@southglos.gov.uk
Action Plan: Investigate education packages around nuisance motorcycles and funding for police motorcycle equipment.
