The photograph shows an expanse of grass in the foreground and a large white gabled two-storey building surrounded by trees in the background. There is a tree to the right of the image, behind which is a building in the same style, with a brown frontage. The black and white image to the bottom left gives a wider view of the same scene over which is the text South Petherton beat Cranium Caviar

Partners and Communities Together (PACT) gives you the opportunity to influence what happens in your neighbourhood. It is a mechanism whereby neighbourhood issues, identified through local meetings, are taken to a partnership panel, where courses of action are agreed. Find out more.

If you are unable to attend a meeting but would like to make your views known, please Register your local priorities.

Current public priorities

Agreed 15th June 2010

1. Parking
Members of the public who attended the meeting felt that parking issues were the main concern. It was agreed that police will monitor the situation and work closely with local retailers. It was mentioned by a district councillor that all the yellow lines etc are being repainted.

2. Anti-social behaviour (ASB)
Members of the public believed that ASB was a concern, although three incidents only had been reported in June. It was agreed that members of the public must contact the police if they want to report such incidents; people believed that it was a waste of police resource.

3. Neighbourhood Watch (NHW)
Members of the public would like police to renew NHW in the village. They believed that currently NHW is not working. Police have agreed to look into contacting all co-ordinators and seeing if current Watches are active and if not look into the possibility of reactivating them.

Police also explained how people could contact their local police as there seemed to be confusion.

It was also agreed that crime statistics would be kept in the Community Office and the Police Post so as to keep members of the public up to date with what is happening in the village.
