Partners and Communities Together (PACT) gives you the opportunity to influence what happens in your neighbourhood. It is a mechanism whereby neighbourhood issues, identified through local meetings, are taken to a partnership panel, where courses of action are agreed. Find out more.

If you are unable to attend a meeting but would like to make your views known, please Register your local priorities.

Current public priorities

Agreed 21st April 2010

1. Vehicle nuisance
* We have had a number of calls regarding the misuse of vehicles namely mini motos in the Brympton beat area. The main areas for concern are Oaktree Park, Stoughton Way and Thorne Coffin. We have increased patrols and ask for all incidents to be reported as they are happening. We are chasing intellegence leads for offenders. Any offenders caught will be dealt with robustly.
* (20/05/10) There has been a recent spate of calls from the King Arthur Drive area of mini motos being ridden with no headwear being worn. Again all incidents requested to be reported.
Lead Agent: Police (PCSO Helyar 9263 and PC Poole 3573)

2. Fuel theft
There has been a spate of fuel theft from Brympton and Lufton Trading Estates. This has been a follow-on to the crime trend across the country - as the price of fuel increases, so does the number of incidents.
* In response to the above we have increased patrols in the area.
* Letters have gone out with information to those who have vehicles parked up overnight - to avoid filling up before leaving the premises and reporting of all incidents.
* Local security firms helping police with their enquiries.
Lead agent: Police.

3. Oak Tree Park - Anti-social behaviour and littering
Due to an increased number of calls complaining about littering and the behaviour of those using the skate park, a programme led by the South Somerset District Council litter enforcement officers, together with the Neighbourhood Beat Team, are looking at various ways to increase the pride the users of the park have in the area. Looking to work in local schools, clubs, and local press/media.
