Partners and Communities Together (PACT) gives you the opportunity to influence what happens in your neighbourhood. It is a mechanism whereby neighbourhood issues, identified through local meetings, are taken to a partnership panel, where courses of action are agreed. Find out more.

If you are unable to attend a meeting but would like to make your views known, please Register your local priorities.

Current public priorities

Agreed 17th May 2010

1. Westbourne Grove, Yeovil
Youths have been damaging property around the outbuildings, sports hall and cricket pitch, not the main Leisure Centre of Westland's sports and social club.

There are also problems with stone throwing from the footpath leading from Westland's to West Street.

Extra passing patrol in the area. Police F142 anti social behavioural reports are made so that potentially an ASBO can be addressed robustly for any youths found in the area misbehaving.

2. Ninesprings , Park Watch launch
For several years there has been an increase of anti-social behaviour over the summer period especially at the children's play area of Ninesprings.

To address this, the police have been working with South Somerset District council and Mendip South Somerset Community Safety Partnership and with the help of volunteers are launching Park Watch on 31 May at Yeovil Country Park Fayre.

The Park Watch scheme has been set up to encourage the park users and local community to report anti social behaviour when it happens. This will give the police the opportunity to respond and reduce the occurrence of these problems, helping to make the country park a more enjoyable place for everyone to use.

If you would like to become more involved with the scheme please either contact PCSO Tony Over or PC Jackie Poole or countryside@southsomerset.gov.uk

3. Yew Tree Park - Anti social behaviour and littering
Following a refurbishment of the play equipment in Yew Tree Park, South Somerset District Council littering enforcement officers are working together with the Neighbourhood Beat Policing team to address the issues of people congregating, drinking alcohol, and extensive littering making the park a visual concern to those who pass through and visit.
