Bristol district

Bristol District is divided into seven Neighbourhood Areas - Bishopsworth, Brislington, Bristol East, Cabot and Clifton, Redland and Lockleaze, Southmead and Avonmouth and Trinity.

Bristol has a resident population of approximately 406,000 people, but with two universities - Bristol University and the University of the West of England (UWE) - as well as a large transient population travelling to and from the city to work, shop or socialise, this figure can swell enormously. Over 930 police officers and 170 police staff cover Bristol District`s 110 square kilometre area.
