Ever wanted to know more about what the police do? The Ride Along scheme is an opportunity to gain a real insight into our work,
which goes on 24/7, and speak to officers and staff about what goes on in your neighbourhood.
You may be interested in joining an officer on the beat or seeing exactly what happens when we get a 999 call by experiencing
the busy environment of our call centre.
Your Ride Along can last anything from a few hours to a couple of days, depending on your area of interest.
Nearly 200 people have taken the chance to have a closer look at the work we do, as part of the scheme.

How do I register my interest?
Complete the application form and, if successful, we will be in touch with arrangements for your Ride Along.
Can anyone get involved?
You must be 18 years old to go out on operational patrol. Before your Ride Along, we may need to check various personal details.
Is it safe?
All Ride Along experiences are risk-assessed to ensure that your personal safety is not compromised.
