South Gloucestershire district > Filton neighbourhood area

The Filton Neighbourhood Area is situated at the south-west of the county of South Gloucestershire and comprises about 100 square miles with a population of more than 65,000, residing in a mixture of urban and rural areas.

The Neighbourhood Area includes some of the region`s largest employers, with Airbus, Rolls Royce and associated industries at Filton Airfield. The University of the West of England campus sees the influx of 26,000 students and nearly 5,000 staff every year. Frenchay Hospital is another of the region's large employers.
