**Note: ACPO Crime Prevention Initiatives (ACPO CPI) is a company owned by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) acting on behalf of every Chief Officer in England and Wales.
ACPO CPI has been nominated by ACPO to undertake the assessment of private sector companies seeking accreditation and then make recommendations to Chief Constables as to whether,
in a particular force area, a private sector company should be accredited. It should be noted that ACPI CPI is not responsible for granting or refusing accreditation.
It is each Chief Constable who individually decides whether or not to grant approval.
