Contacting the police in an emergency can be very difficult for people who do not use English as a first language.
We are trying to make it easier for deaf people and people with hearing loss to contact the police. The choices are:
Text the emergency text number 80999.
If you use typetalk dial 18000 and then the number for the police and you will be put through to the police.
Get a hearing person to dial 999.

Text the non-emergency text number on 81819.
If you have typetalk, dial 18000 and then the number for the police. You can then pass on information for someone who works in the police or an officer local to you.
Go to the PLOD section of these pages and contact a PLOD Officer. They will help you.
