Contacting the police at Glastonbury:

If it's an emergency happening now, the number to call is 999.

All other calls should be made to 0845 456 7000. It's staffed 24 hours a day and is the number to call to report a crime when there's no sign of an offender.

Where are we?

The policing operation for Glastonbury is based in three places – the police compound on the festival site, the Bath and West Showground, and police headquarters, Portishead.

Police compound, Glastonbury Festival site

The compound is where all the police officers and staff working at the festival are based. There are no tents though, we don't stay on site permanently, choosing to go home to a comfortable bed after the end of our shift. The operation is 24 hours a day though, with officers on site from Saturday June 20 to Friday July 3.

You can find the compound by looking at your free map (it's next to the farmhouse at Worthy Farm). Come here to report a crime, ask for directions or look at a police horse.

There will be police information boards situated around the festival site close to the steward cabins. Here you can find information on how to report a crime, prevention advice so you don't become a victim of crime and other policing issues.

Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet

The custody operation is based at the Bath and West Showground which is around two miles from the festival site.

Police headquarters, Portishead

Communications run from police headquarters, with all 999 and non-emergency calls made from the festival coming in to the Force Service Centre and main communications centre.

Staff working here will also be liaising with officers working on site over enquiries which need to be done outside the festival, for example if a person is reported missing – enquiries with their parents, friends etc will be done by officers on normal duties at stations around the force, or enquiries which need to be followed up once people get back home after the festival.
