If you are driving to the festival please remember that in order to enjoy yourself at the festival, you have to get there in one piece
– driving while drunk, on drugs or sleep deprived is not acceptable and could lead to serious injury or death to you, your passengers and other road users.
The safest amount of alcohol to drink before driving is none at all. And remember, if you have been drinking the night before you
drive you should leave plenty of time before setting off in the morning.
Also remember that it is illegal to use your mobile phone while driving unless you use a hands-free kit – this does not mean putting your
phone in your lap and shouting into it. Using your mobile phone while driving could lead to a £60 fine and penalty points on your licence.
It can also lead to a serious accident, so if you haven't got a hands free kit, wait until you get to a service station or a lay-by to make a call.
When leaving the festival by car please be calm and expect delays. There will be more than your car leaving the car park. The police have a comprehensive
traffic management plan to try and keep the traffic moving as much as possible. Please have consideration for the residents of Pilton village and the towns
and villages surrounding the festival when stuck in the traffic.
