Question (Added 9th August 2012)

Please provide the number of Officers that we on each shift during morning, middle of the day, and evening in August 2011, for the Bristol, Banes and South Gloucestershire districts. Please also provide the permissible level of staffing required for each of the shifts for the same month as well as the minimum levels.

Answer

Your request for information has now been considered and I am not obliged to supply the information you have requested as the cost of compliance exceeds the appropriate limit. The information you have sought is not centrally recorded therefore in order for us to retrieve the information each roster for each of the three shifts for each team across three districts would need to be reviewed and collated, this would exceed 18 hours to complete. Under Section 12 of the Act this information is exempt from disclosure as the cost of providing you with the information is above the amount to which we are legally required to respond i.e. the cost of locating and retrieving the information exceeds the “appropriate level” as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004, namely £450. In accordance with the Act, this represents a Refusal Notice for your request.
