The Downend and Siston beat covers Downend village, Overnhill, Lincombe Barn, Bromley Heath Estate, King George V playing fields and the Page area, and the beat includes the former Siston beat, covering the area of Warmley from Stanley Road towards Bridgeyate. It also includes parts of Mangotsfield, Downend and the new large Emersons Green development.

Siston is mostly residential but also comprises of rural areas including Webbs Heath. There are a number of housing estates, both private and local authority (including housing association). Siston has one secondary and three primary schools.

1. We will continue to tackle anti-social behaviour within Emerson’s Green, which is to include the positioning of a CCTV dome camera on Emerson Way

2. We will also continue to combat burglaries in the Emersons Green area. Residents to set up Neighbourhood Watches

3. Pavement parking on the side streets of Emerson Way

For 24/7 help with stray dogs, call South Gloucestershire Council on 01454 868009. Don't bring it to a police station - we haven't been able to take in strays since 2008.

Your local Safer Stronger Community Group needs you! (Downend and Siston beat)
South Gloucestershire's 20 Safer Stronger Community Groups (SSCGs) are all about working together to improve your local community. The groups also enable you to have your say about the services that your community receives. Beat surgeries (Downend and Siston beat)
PCSO 7585 Katrina Sheldrake holds a Beat Surgery (no appointment necessary) at Emersons Green Library every fourth week between 10am and 12noon. This is an ideal opportunity to speak with a local officer about issues in the area.
