Barry's Grandchildren

This has destroyed our lives and now we want answers. If anyone has any information we plead with you to come forward and help.

Teri Day Rubery

Sixth months after the tragic death of Barry Rubery his grandchildren made an emotional appeal to bring his killers to justice.

His grandchildren appeared in a short film featured on YouTube to appeal to anyone with information to contact police.

Grandson George Kelley said: "Losing my gramps has ripped my life apart. I can't understand why someone would do something like this. I know people get angry but they have killed an innocent man, they are evil people."

Teri Day Rubery added: "Until anyone has actually been through this immense pain they will never be able to understand the amount of destruction a single act can cause. This has destroyed our lives and now we want answers. If anyone has any information we plead with you to come forward and help."

Grandson Jack Kelley said: "Time has passed and now I just want to know why someone would want to kill my gramps. I have been going out my mind thinking of possible reasons why someone would want to do this. I don't think I'll ever get back to normal until I know what he had done wrong to warrant what was done to him."

Anyone who may have information no matter how small is asked to contact the incident room on 0117 945 4057 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. We never ask your name or trace your call.
