Clothes appeal over Melanie murder
Clothes similar to those worn by Melanie Hall

Photos of clothes similar to those worn by Melanie Hall have been released by murder hunt detectives, six months after her remains were found on a sliproad onto the M5 in South Gloucestershire.

Det Supt Mike Courtiour, leading the inquiry, has appealed for help finding out what happened to Melanie's clothing and belongings.

On the evening when she was last seen, Melanie was wearing a pale blue silk dress with a round neck, and black suede mule shoes with straps across the front and a open toe, thought to be size five or six. She also had a cream-coloured, single-breasted, long-sleeved and hip-length jacket and was carrying a black satchel-type handbag.

Det Supt Courtiour said: "I am sure somebody must know what happened to her and where all those items went.

"I know it has been a significant length of time since she went missing, but I believe there are people who do know what has happened and are remaining silent.
