Major projects

In addition to local community initiatives, the Trustees continue to support 5 major projects that fall within this criteria, namely the:


Bobby Van Scheme

Helps reduce the fear of crime among elderly and vulnerable by providing victims of burglary and violence with timely and free help when it is most needed. Lock, bolts, chains, viewers and even smoke alarms fitted free of charge.

Domestic Violence Freephone Service

A secure free ‘phone line that provides a single point of contact for victims of abuse. Through this line they can gain access to specially trained police officers and a wide range of services.

Road Safety

Funding provided to a wide range of local community road safety projects, including the Schools Walking Bus that involves the trustees providing high visibility waistcoats free of charge to schools in support of the Safer Routes to School Programme.

Local Education Centres in Bristol and Taunton

Supporting a unique drug prevention education charity that, led by trained educators in a hitech mobile classroom, visit schools to advise on health and how legal and illegal substances can if misused harm them. Funding is provided to enable children from deprived areas or where there is social need to attend these courses.
