Crime Scene Investigation

A group of people at a crime scene which is ribboned off and shows a car with the boot open and the back of a van. Crime Scene Investigators (CSIs) are trained to locate, record and recover a variety of traces of a criminal's contact, including fingerprints, footwear marks, clothing fibres, tool marks and DNA-rich bodily fluids.

CSIs also use video and stills cameras to capture images to be shown in court. An eye for detail remains an important quality for CSIs, along with an ability to work under difficult and challenging circumstances.
