Fees applicable to grants or renewals from 1 January 2001 are:

Firearm certificate – valid for five years

• Grant of firearm certificate: £50.00.
• Renewal of firearm certificate: £40.00.
• Variation of a firearm certificate (other than when renewed) when there is an increase in guns: £26.00.
• Replacement of a firearm certificate that has been lost or destroyed: £9.00.

Shotgun certificate – valid for five years

• Grant of shotgun certificate: £50.00.
• Renewal of shotgun certificate: £40.00.
• Replacement of a shotgun certificate that has been lost or destroyed: £8.00.
• Renewal of shotgun certificate which expires at the same time as firearm certificate (co-terminous): £10.00.

Explosive certificates

• Acquire and keep (valid for three years): FREE
• Acquire only (valid for one year): FREE

Dealer registration - valid for three years

• Initial application of a person as a firearms dealer: £150.00.
• Renewal of a firearms dealer: £150.00.
• Game fayre permit (to trade in another force area): £12.00.

Club approvals

• Home Office Club approval (valid for six years): £84.00.
• Firearm certificate for Home Office approved club (valid for five years): FREE.

Visitors' permits

• Application for a single visitor's permit: £12.00.
• Group application (5 – 20 people): £60.00.

European Firearms Passes

• Valid for the life of current firearm and/or shotgun certificate (whichever expires first) : FREE
