The ICT Training Unit has won the Gold Award for Training Department of the Year in the Public Sector category at the Learning and Performance Institute Awards 2012. The awards were held at the Dorchester Hotel, London, on 2 February 2012.
The Training Department of the Year award is one of the most prestigious in the industry and recognises organisations who demonstrate consistent high quality and innovation.
Winners must provide clear evidence of client engagement, product development/adaptation, service delivery, business management and overall contribution to the business and its objectives.
The team has had a busy year developing on-line facilitation of NCALT Live, introducing "10,000 volts" (an application used for analysing critical incident decision making), producing e-learning materials, developing and delivering open source training and much, much more.
Karen Lyle, ICT Training Manager, stated "Winning the gold award, after silver and bronze in the last two years, is an amazing achievement and recognises the team effort of everyone in the department."
