Incidents of Disruptive Passengers at Bristol Airport Between 2014-2016

Question

Could you tell me how many incidents there have been at Bristol Airport of air rage or disorder which resulted in police boarding aircraft - with totals of incidents for 2016, 2015 and 2014.

For each of those years can you give any more detail about those incidents – how many involved intoxicated passengers, how many involved alleged assaults, also how many led to arrests.

Answer

There is no specific offence for ‘air rage’. Therefore an individual cannot be arrested for ‘air rage’. However, in order to provide you with some information, we have searched for recorded incidents of disruptive passengers. The figures provided include disruptive passengers, incidents involving intoxicated passengers and assaults. The figures below relate to inbound flights as opposed to police being called to attend an aircraft prior to departure.
