About the hosts
A very warm welcome from all of us at Avon and Somerset Police.
Inclusion is one of our organisation’s core values – along with Caring, Courageous and Learning – so hosting this year’s National LGBT+ Conference is a very proud milestone in our history.
Avon and Somerset Police is the seventh largest police force in England and Wales, with an organisation of over 6,000 people.
Serving a population of more than 1.65 million people, our region stretches from coastal towns and villages to the hills of Exmoor, and ranges from World Heritage cities to the diverse city of Bristol.
We are home to major events like Glastonbury Festival, Bristol Balloon Fiesta and regional Pride celebrations in which we proudly take part.
We are committed to, and focused on, supporting people across the diverse spectrum of sexuality and gender identity and we are thrilled to be facilitating a conference enabling us to work with others in the policing family to achieve this ambition.
