1) A copy of Avon & Somerset Constabulary's policy on the provision of food and drink to detainees.
2) A copy of Avon & Somerset Constabulary's procurement procedure and practices which includes details of each approved meal including for each meal details of how any meat in that meal was slaughtered and for each meal details of how any fish in that meal was slaughtered. Please provide these details for the period August 2014 - December 2015 inclusive.
3) A copy of each consultation about provision of food and drink to detainees that Avon & Somerset has - please include a full list of the organisations and groups consulted with.
4) A copy of the nutritional information for each approved meal which includes a list of ingredients and calorific value, protein, fat, carbohydrate, calcium and vitamin C content.
Q1. Please find enclosed the relevant information relating to the provision of food and drink to detainees.
Q2. With regards to the procurement procedure concerning the provision of food to detainees, the constabulary uses a framework agreement via another police force.
We do hold information that the following products have been assessed by the Halal Authority Board (HAB) and comply with HAB’s worldwide standards for Halal Certification.
