Recorded Burglary Offences since 2011

Question

1) The number of burglary offences recorded by Avon and Somerset Constabulary in the calendar years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 so far. Please provide a breakdown by year.

2) The number of burglaries solved by Avon and Somerset Constabulary in the calendar years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 so far. Please provide a breakdown by year.

3) The number of burglaries recorded by Avon and Somerset Constabulary in the calendar years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 so far where no suspect was identified.

4) The outcomes off all burglary offences recorded by Avon and Somerset Constabulary the calendar years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 so far. This data should show both the number of offences, and the number of "outcomes" for for each offences code in each year (e.g. charge, caution, charge etc): 28A - Burglary in a dwelling, 28B - Attempted burglary in a dwelling, 28C - Distraction burglary in a dwelling, 28D - Attempted distraction burglary in a dwelling, 29 - Aggravated burglary in a dwelling, 30A - Burglary in a building other than a dwelling, 30B - Attempted burglary in a building other than a dwelling, 31 - Aggravated burglary in a building other than a dwelling , 33 - Going equipped for stealing, 34A - Robbery of business property, 34B - Robbery of personal property.

5)  The number of recorded burglary offences either ‘screened out’ or marked ‘No Further Action’ in the calendar years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 so far. Please provide a breakdown by year.

6) The estimated total value of items stolen in burglaries recorded by Avon and Somerset Constabulary in the calendar years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 so far. Please provide a breakdown by year. If possible, please also provide the estimated total value of items stolen in burglaries that were subsequently recovered and returned by Avon and Somerset Constabulary.

Please find the requested information attached.

With reference to the outcomes, some outcome types were only used from 2014 onwards. Therefore, some in the undetected/no outcome applied would have fallen into one of the categories listed for the years 2014 – 2016. With reference to the value of the property stolen and recovered, this is not always recorded. Information has been provided that is available.
