Please can you provide me with the following information regarding Type A - Remote Signalling Systems and CCTV systems, where a unique reference number has been issued, and personal attack alarms.
1. As of current date, how many premises with alarm systems within the police force area are given:
a) Level 1 - Immediate/Urgent police response,
b) Level 2 or similar response, where there is police attendance dependant on resources (if this response type is used).
c) Level 3 response, no attendance unless further evidence of crime is provided
d) And how many have been sent warning to take remedial action following a number of false alarms
2. How many false calls triggers a warning to take remedial action and how many triggers a downgrading of response.
3. How many premises with security systems were placed on a Level 3 response in 2015 (including those later reinstated to Level 1) and in 2014.
A total of 15,785 intruder and 12,812 PA/HUA alarms have been given Level 1 status.
We do not use Level 2 status. They receive the same response as level 1 (immediate).
A Level 3 status has been given to 85 intruder alarms and 37 PA/HUA alarms.
A total of 1,422 intruder alarms and 514 PA/HUA alarms have been issued with warning letters requesting action to be taken following a false activation record.
Two false activations (within a rolling twelve month period) triggered a Level 2 status (warning) and three triggered a Level 3 status (withdrawal of police response).
PA / HUA ALARMS
One false activation (within a rolling twelve month period) triggered a Level 2 status (warning) and two triggered a Level 3 status (withdrawal of police response).
In 2015, 283 sites were put on a Level 3 response.
In 2014, 271 sites were put on a Level 3 response.
