Reports Under the Bribery Act 2010

Question

My Freedom of Information Act request concerns the Public Bodies Corrupt Practices Act 1889 (section 1), the Prevention of Corruption Act 1906 (section 1) and the Bribery Act 2010 (sections 1, 2, 6), and specifically: Whether Avon and Somerset Police and any of the divisions within its area of responsibility has (a) received allegations and (b) recorded any offences investigated under the above statutes in relation to the bribery of public and/or private sector personnel. If any offences have been received, investigated or recorded, I would be grateful if these could be provided by

(i) year of reporting and recording,

(ii) nature of offence (specifically, whether involving public or private officials, and whether domestic or transnational), and

(iii) outcome of the case (charge, caution, sanction, no further action, etc.).

You provided the following clarification concerning the timeframe on the 17th January:

I’m seeking information relating to ALL cases since the coming into force of the included statutes (i.e., 1889, 1906, 2010 respectively). Ideally the data range would be: 30 August 1889 - 11 January 2017.

I don’t expect there to be many cases.

Answer

We have conducted a search concerning the Bribery Act 2010, and any ‘offence description’ that contains the word corrupt or bribery.

The results found are only from the Bribery Act 2010 section 1 HO Classification code 099/07. No further information was identified.
