Drug Related Warnings and Arrests in 2015/16

Specific crime data in Avon and Somerset between 1st April 2015 and 31st March 2016

1. Broken down by ward name, how many Stop and Searches under s.1 PACE/S23 Misuse of Drugs Act, where the reason for search was drugs took place? Please provide data sorted by Ethnicity, Age and Gender.

2. Broken down by ward name, how many cannabis/khat warnings were issued? Please provide data sorted by Ethnicity, Age and Gender.

3. Broken down by ward name, how many drug related cautions (including youth cautions) were issued? Please provide data sorted by Ethncity, Age and Gender.

4. Broken down by ward name, how cannabis/ khat PNDS were issued? Please provide data sorted by Ethnicity, Age and Gender.

5. Broken down by ward name, how many drug related arrests were made? Please provide data sorted by Ethnicity, Age and Gender.

6. Broken down by ward name, how many drug related community resolutions were made? Please provide data sorted by Ethnicity, Age and Gender.

7. Broken down by ward name, what is the total number of recorded crime outcomes for drug offences? P;ease sort the data by offence category

8. How many times was a taser deployed? Please provide data sorted by Ethnicity, Age and Gender

On 3rd February you clarified that in respect of question 4 you were requesting:

“Broken down by ward name, how many cannabis/khat PNDs were issued? Please provide data sorted by Ethnicity, Age and Gender”

Answer

Please find the information in the attached spreadsheet; this is for the financial year 2015/16.  In respect of question 1 – stop and searches, we are only able to provide the breakdown by ethnicity, age, and gender since the introduction of the current crime recording system. This information is therefore only available from November 2015 onwards.

There are two tabs on the spreadsheet for each question, one tab for gender and ethnicity and one for age.

Please be aware that this is the information as recorded on our systems, where information has been left blank or inaccurately inputted this will lead to some issues with the overall accuracy of this data.

In respect of question 8, this information is available on our Force website and is therefore exempt under section 21 – information reasonably accessible by other means. I have provided a link below to assist:
