Drivers Caught Running Red Lights

Question

1) How many drivers in your force area were caught running red lights in each of the years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and so far in 2016;

2) At what three roads/junctions in your force area were most people caught running red lights in each of the years 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 and how many incidences did you record at these junctions in those years respectively.

Answer

1) Number of Notices issued for running a red light per year:

2011: 985 Notices issued up to 28/3/11 by the Safety Camera Partnership. No red light cameras in operation after 1st April when the Speed Enforcement Unit was formed.

2012: No red light cameras in operation.

2013: No red light cameras in operation.

2014: No red light cameras in operation.

2015: 1010 Notices issued from 15/5/15.

2016: 463 Notices issued up until 6/3/16.

2) Top 3 red light cameras based on number of Notices issued per year:

2013: N/A.

2014: N/A.

2015:

A4174 Hartcliffe Way, jct Novers Ln, Hartcliffe, Bristol (525 Notices issued),

A4174 Hengrove Way, nr jct Creswicke Rd, Bristol (211 Notices issued),

Wessex Ave, jct Filton Ave/Lockleaze Rd, Bristol (193 Notices issued).
