Issued Speeding Tickets 2010-2015

Question

I request the following information for the years between and including 2010 and 2015:

1) How many speeding tickets did your force issue in each of the years? I would ask for a breakdown in the number issued by police pull-over of drivers on the road, fixed speed cameras and mobile speed cameras

2) For each of the years, what was the fastest recorded speed taken by your police force?

3) For each of the year what was the total amount of revenue recorded by your police force that was gained through speeding tickets?

Answer

1. Please find the information in the table below.

Please note we are unable to provide this information for 2010. Although we hold some of this information for that year we estimate that the cost of compliance would exceed the cost limits under the Act which is currently set at £450 or 18 staff hours work.  This letter represents a Refusal Notice under the Act. This is because the number of tickets issued by mobile/static camera is no longer held, and the tickets issued by officers is not held centrally and would involve a review of all officer pocket note books. It is estimated it would take considerably longer than 18 hours to comply.
