The 12 emergency service organisations* within the South West seek a Communications Officer with substantial experience of managing complex environments to deliver corporate communications for the South West Police Collaboration Programme (SWPCP) and the South West Emergency Services Collaboration Programme (SWESC).
Working with existing brands and communications strategies, the successful applicant will be directly responsible for planning and delivering a comprehensive communications plan. This will include use of on and off-line platforms and evaluating and adapting activity based upon the needs of a number of diverse audiences.
You will hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience as well as substantial experience of working in a corporate communications capacity within a large and complex organisation. You will also need previous experience of operating web and/or intranet based content management systems.
All applicants should have a full current driving licence or the ability to travel around the force area using alternative transport.
Working pattern – Flexible working, full time, part time and job share applications will be considered.
