As a Financial Investigator, you will work within the terms of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) in relation to the identification and confiscation of assets and the investigation and prosecution of offenders. You will be accredited under POCA as a Financial Investigator following the approved training programme.
You will be required to plan and prepare financial investigations, present case material including disclosure of unused material, prepare financial statements and attend Court when necessary (both in criminal and civil applications). You will also provide specialist support to investigations carried out throughout the force.
You will also investigate reports of suspected money laundering and will provide guidance and support to the Force in all matters relating to financial investigation and POCA.
You will have experience of interviewing (ideally of an investigative nature) and experience of compiling Court Files would be advantageous.
The post-holder must be computer literate, and should ideally hold a full current driving licence or be able to travel around the Force area using alternative transport.
