Man remanded in custody over drug supply and obstruction offences – Bristol

A 26-year-old man has appeared in court charged with obstructing a stop and search and possessing Class A and Class B drugs with intent to supply.

Mahamed Ismael Ali, of Seymour Road, Bristol appeared at Bristol Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Thursday, 6 December) where he was remanded in custody pending a hearing at Bristol Crown Court on 4 January. The charges relate to an incident on Wednesday (5 December) on the Lawrence Hill roundabout in which a quantity of drugs were seized from a man by plain clothed officers.

The arresting officers then carried out a search of property on Goodhind Street, Easton in connection with the incident.

Two men, aged 25 and 51, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs while a third, also aged 25, was arrested on suspicion of possessing with intent to supply Class A dugs.

All three have since been released under investigation while further enquiries are carried out. A quantity of drugs was also seized from the property
