Witness appeal after girl (eight) is injured in road traffic collision

Witnesses sought following collision in north Bristol

We’re appealing for the public’s assistance following a collision in north Bristol, in which an eight-year-old girl was injured.

It happened on Wednesday (10 April) at 2.20pm in Shirehampton Road.

A grey BMW was travelling from Kings Weston Road in the direction of Shirehampton Road through roadworks, where it was in collision with the girl.

She was taken to the BRI, where she was released after treatment for a possible broken nose, bruises and scratches.

We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, particularly the driver of a second car – black in colour – which was reported to have been passed by the BMW.

We would also like to speak to anyone who was in the area and may have captured the collision on a mobile phone or dashcam.
