Witnesses sought following assault in Bridgwater

We’re appealing for witnesses following an incident in Bridgwater. 

It happened at about 12.50am on 14 April in St John Street, outside the New Foresters public house. 

A large disturbance, involving between 10-15 people was reported, resulting in one man suffering a fractured skull. He received hospital treatment before being released. 

One man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released under investigation. 

Enquiries into the incident are continuing.  

We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident who has not already spoken to us.
