Appeal after cadets verbally abused by protesters – Glastonbury

We’re appealing for witnesses and information about an incident at the Mayor’s Parade in Glastonbury.

Protesters shouted and swore at teenage Sea Cadets taking part in the event.

It happened on Sunday 2 June between midday and 12.30pm, near St Benedict’s Church, Benedict Street.

One 13-year-old boy reported the incident the next day. He told officers protesters opposing 5G swore and used a term considered offensive towards people with learning disabilities.
