Bike stolen from boy, 12, in Ilchester

We’re asking for information after a bicycle was taken from a 12-year-old boy in a park.

It happened at 5.15pm on Tuesday 2 November at Talltrees Community Centre in Ilchester.

The child was approached by a group of older boys and young men who took his bike. He wasn’t hurt. The bicycle was later found nearby, damaged and unusable.

There were up to eight in the group which took the bike. One is described as in his early 20s, white and 6ft tall. He wore a black ski mask, black clothing and white trainers. Another was in his mid-teens, white and 5ft 7ins tall. He too wore black clothing including a ski mask.

Please call 101 if you were in the area of Talltrees Community Centre between 5pm and 6pm that Tuesday and saw the incident, spotted the bike being damaged or have any phone or dashcam footage which could help. Give the call handler the reference 5221258491.
