Detectives investigating serious sexual assault renew appeal to identify witness

Detectives are renewing their appeal for help identifying a man in a CCTV image who they believe could be a key witness in an ongoing serious sexual assault investigation.

The incident happened at a Bristol hotel during the early hours of Monday, 14 June.

Officers have interviewed a 34-year-old man from Bristol in connection with the inquiry.

And as part of their continuing enquiries, they are keen to trace the man in the CCTV image who they think may have witnessed part of the assault or have information about it.

He’s believed to be aged in his early 20s and of slim build.

The victim continues to be updated on the progress of our investigation and provided access to specialist support services.

Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image is asked to call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5221132440.

You can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their Anonymous Online Form.

No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court or have to speak to police when contacting Crimestoppers.
