Family fun at Emergency Services Open Day

More than 5,000 people attended the Emergency Services Open Day hosted at Police and Fire Headquarters on Sunday 1 October.

This was the largest emergency services event ever held in Avon and Somerset and visitors to HQ made the most of the opportunity to find out more about the amazing work undertaken by our emergency services across the region.

As well as visiting the many stands and displays located across the site, visitors also enjoyed a number of exciting demonstrations including displays from our canine officers and the mounted section as well as car cutting and animal rescue demonstrations from the Fire and Rescue teams, a firearms demonstration and various sporting events.

A big thank you to everyone who braved the weather to join us and to everyone involved in organising the day.
