Driving licence enquiry

Answers to common queries relating to driving licences.

Driving licence is with the DVLA or Fixed Penalty Office

If your driving licence is with the DVLA or you have submitted it in relation to another fine, contact the Speed Enforcement Unit, so they can give you further advice.

Lost driving licence

If you have lost your licence, you will need to re-apply to the DVLA for a new licence and contact the Speed Enforcement Unit, so they can give you further advice.

You don’t need to have your licence to apply for a workshop but you will need to know your driving licence number.

Sending driving licence off for endorsement

If you get an endorsement, you will need to send your driving licence to the Fixed Penalty Office.

You must send your driving licence to the Conditional Offer Unit within the time stated on the Notice or any correspondence received from the Speed Enforcement Unit. If this date has passed, a court summons could be issued.

If your driving licence is not returned to you, contact the Fixed Penalty Office.
