Anti-social behaviour in Shirehampton and Avonmouth

At the PACT meeting held in Shirehampton, the residents discussed local anti-social issues relating to Shirehampton and Avonmouth, in particular with groups of young males on causing criminal damage and acting anti-socially in public areas.

Actions

  • Friday 2nd July, 2021

    We have been carrying out regular patrols within the area to tackle Anti Social Behaviour, and will continue to do so during our day and night shifts.

    Please continue to report any Anti social behaviour to 101.

  • Wednesday 17th February, 2021

    Four of the local youths have been issued Acceptable Behaviour Contracts and a number of others are being monitored by the Anti Social Behaviour team.

    Four of the youths have also been issued with Covid 19 – warnings that has been discussed with their guardians.

  • Tuesday 1st September, 2020

    Over the past few months we have had a few issues with a group of youths from the local area causing alarm, harassment and distress to local residents.

    The beat team along with the ASB team have issued warning letters to a number of youths with the aim to monitor their behaviour and reduce further issues.

  • Thursday 16th July, 2020

    With the summer holidays approaching we are going to be undertaking high vis patrols in our ASB hot spots and engage with groups of youths where possible.

  • Saturday 1st February, 2020

    Recently we have had a number of reports regarding anti-social behaviour(ASB) and young youths in the area. We have managed to identify a few of these individuals and have passed on details to the ASB team who have sent letters where appropriate.

  • Wednesday 15th January, 2020

    It has been agreed that for the next 3 months the beat team will carry out high visibility patrol in this area and surrounding areas to reduce youths congregating and causing ASB and committing offences.

    This will be reviewed at the end of February.
