Individuals have been identified and spoken too when reported begging within the town centre, particularly Fore Street and High Street. Warnings and notices have been issued to persistent offenders and we are continuing to breach those that commit any further offences.

  • Wednesday 15th January, 2020

    Male persistently begging in Bridgwater town centre and causing anti-social behaviour has breached his Community Protection Notice and has now been summoned to court.

  • Friday 25th October, 2019

    Male persistently begging on the Clink in Bridgwater has now been served a Comminity Protection Warning.

  • Wednesday 4th September, 2019

    Regular patrols continue by the Beat Team.Male to be issued an Anti-social behaviour letter for begging outside Farmfoods and Next.

  • Tuesday 3rd September, 2019

    The Neighbourhood Policing team are doing regular patrols in the town centre. If individuals are seen to be begging they are asked to move.

  • Friday 2nd August, 2019

    A male in Bridgwater Town Centre has been issued an Anti-social behaviour letter for begging outside Lloyds Bank.
