Anti Social Behaviour and Street Drinking – Frome Town Centre

Frome NPT continue to receive reports of a group of individuals drinking and causing Anti-Social behaviour within the Town Centre, including Chateau Gauntier Walk, Cheap Street, and within the Market Yard Car Park. We are working in conjunction with Mendip District Council in order to enforce the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) which is breached when open alcohol containers are not relinquished following the request of a designated officer.

If you do experience any ASB, or cause for concern, in  and around the town centre, we urge you to report it as it is happening on either 999, 101 or via the force website as appropriate.

    We are pleased to report an reduction of reports of ASB and street drinking in the town centre. We continue to patrol this area and will continue to report breaches of Mendip District council’s Public Space Protection Order (PSPO).

    If you do experience any ASB, or cause for concern, in  and around the town centre, we urge you to report it as it is happening on either 999, 101 or via the force website as appropriate.

     

  • Thursday 22nd July, 2021

    Frome neighbourhood team continue hi-visibility patrols in and around the town centre. We continue to monitor ASB street drinking and as a result we report breaches of Mendip District council’s Public Space Protection Order (PSPO). We are pleased to say we have seen a decrease in street drinking but will continue to monitor and keep up regular patrols.

  • Saturday 12th June, 2021

    Frome NPT continue to conduct Hi visibility patrols in and around the town Centre, We also remain committed to dealing with issues of ASB and street drinkers in the area.

    As previously mentioned we are working in conjunction with Mendip District Council in order to enforce the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) which is breached when open alcohol containers are not relinquished following the request of a designated officer.
