Anti-social Behaviour in Town Centre
Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) has increased slightly in and around the Civic Centre. Please report any instances and note descriptions to aid identification of offenders.
ASB is currently low and has been for some time. The High Street remains a priority area for the beat team and patrols are conducted regularly.

Saturday 16th January, 2021
The Keynsham Neighbourhood Policing Team continue to patrol and monitor areas likely to experience ASB. Due to the current lockdown ASB (and other demands) have reduced. However, patrols will continue.

Saturday 19th December, 2020
ASB is currently low. A pub in the High Street area has been served a notice by BaNES council in relation to managing their customers properly. Any further breaches may be dealt with more severely.

Friday 13th November, 2020
General ASB remains low, although the High Street in Keynsham experiences the most calls for service to the police from the public. Patrols and efforts continue to tackle any hotspots as they arise. Prior to the current lockdown issues were caused at licensed premises once they had closed for the evening, with rowdy persons in the street. Police have engaged with the licensees and customers to address this behaviour.

ASB is currently being experienced in pockets around the High Street. However, the number of reports are low.

- ASB remains low in the town centre. Patrols are continuing.

Sunday 22nd December, 2019
ASB has occurred at Subway. All persons involved have been identified and are receiving Acceptable Behaviour Contracts. This has curbed the poor behaviour. Any breach will result in further police action.

The team continue to work in and around the High Street, particularly on Halloween. Further patrols will take place through November especially on Fireworks Night.

Persons identified being involved in ASB have been issued Anti-social Behaviour Contracts to prevent further ASB. No further reports received.

Wednesday 25th September, 2019
Reports of young people riding causing a nuisance. Recent similar incidents were dealt with under ASB legislation. New culprits will be identified and similar action is taken to curb poor behaviour.

ASB is very low in the High Street area. The nuisance cyclists have been identified and formal action taken against them.

Tuesday 30th July, 2019
ASB remains low. There have been no further reported ASB incidents involving bicycles. The High Street remains a focus for mobile and patrols.

Saturday 6th July, 2019
Patrols continue in the area. Youn persons involved in ASB are due to be issued with anti-social behaviour contracts to curb their behaviour. Another incident of young people cycling dangerously in front of cars is being investigated.
CCTV will allow the police to identify the culprits.

Since the introduction of the Police Laptops, this has allowed us to be more mobile and work from the areas that are affected by this type of behaviour.
We have recently been dealing with the nuisance cyclists outside Subway on the Market walk and other nuisance behaviours that have been occurring.
We will continue to patrol these areas at key times.

Incidents of ASB are few. The offender at a recent incident at the library has been dealt with.
