A number of vans have been broken into in the Peasedown St John area.
Patrols will be increasing during the hours of darkness.

Synthetic DNA tool marking kits have been distributed to previous victims of van breaks.
It is hoped that as the current COVID restriction are lifted will be able to offer kits to the wider trade community. Later in the year we plan to hold a tool marking event when it is safe to do so.

Distribution of the synthetic DNA tool marking kits has begun. Previous victims of van breaks have been contacted directly with the offer of a tool marking kit. Over the past few months the Peasedown St John community has suffered with vehicle attacks where vans have been broken into and valuable tools have been stolen.
In the New Year the beat team will be offering a free tool marking service with a synthetic DNA product to those victims. There will also be a number of free kits (worth £60) that will be available to the wider trade community in Peasedown. The kits will mark up to 50 items with a unique code that will be stored on an independent database.

Patrols have increased but we are still seeing vans being broken into, specifically to steal tools from within. Please, where possible, remove tools from vehicles at night.
