Van Breaks Peasedown St John

A number of vans have been broken into in the Peasedown St John area.

Patrols will be increasing during the hours of darkness.

 Please be vigilant and report anything suspicious to the Police.


  • Wednesday 3rd March, 2021

    Synthetic DNA tool marking kits have been distributed to previous victims of van breaks.

    It is hoped that as the current COVID restriction are lifted will be able to offer kits to the wider trade community. Later in the year we plan to hold a tool marking event when it is safe to do so.

  • Thursday 21st January, 2021

    Distribution of the synthetic DNA tool marking kits has begun. Previous victims of van breaks have been contacted directly with the offer of a tool marking kit. If you would like more information follow the link below to contact your Neighbourhood policing team. We do have a few kits left for local trade personnel.

  • Sunday 13th December, 2020

    Over the past few months the Peasedown St John community has suffered with vehicle attacks where vans have been broken into and valuable tools have been stolen.

    In the New Year the beat team will be offering a free tool marking service with a synthetic DNA product to those victims.   There will also be a number of free kits (worth £60) that will be available to the wider trade community in Peasedown. The kits will mark up to 50 items with a unique code that will be stored on an independent database.

  • Thursday 19th November, 2020

    Patrols have increased but we are still seeing vans being broken into, specifically to steal tools from within. Please, where possible, remove tools from vehicles at night.
