Coronavirus (COVID-19): the policing response and what you need to know

Anti-Social-Behaviour at Downside School

Over recent weeks there has been an increase in Anti-Social-Behaviour in the grounds of Downside School, Stratton on the Fosse. Incidents include a group of youths aged between 14yrs and 16yrs swearing at staff, spitting at staff vehicles and throwing stones at pupils.

Graffiti has been sprayed onto roads leading to the playing fields as well as broken beer bottles left lying on the ground.

To deal with this problem, the local police have introduced a regular patrol plan. This includes police officers and the neighbourhood team attending the school on their normal shifts to maintain a high visible presence.

We will liaise with staff and the security officers who regularly patrol the school premises.
