Fake online reviews are influencing people across the UK into purchasing billions of pounds worth of products and services every year. Our research showed three in ten of us have bought products off the back of ‘excellent’ online customer reviews only to be chronically let down when they arrived.
We think tech giants are more than capable of enforcing their own policies to detect and prevent misleading reviews.
